Norma Cole	Norma boasts a rich background in the fine arts and has worked in pencil, acrylic, and oil paints. Most recently, she was part of the ELM (The Enrichment of Life Movement) class that eventually relocated to her home. Her works include pets, flowers, landscapes and vary in style from realistic to impressionistic.
Voncile Levy	After retiring, Voncile found that being at home just didn't challenge her. Boredom led her to the Windy Hill Senior Center paint class, under the direction of Wenona Halderman. Wenona's encouragement, for which she is well known, prompted Voncile to pick up a brush, and after nine years, she has become quite accomplished at producing florals, landscapes, animals, and architecture.
Kathy Lutz	Kathy has been painting in oils for more than 30 years, and her experience shows in the detailed work that she produces. Her training includes three years at the Senior Enrichment Living center in Roswell, followed by two years at the Windy Hill Senior Center. For the past four years, she has attended not only the WAGS class, but also receives instruction from Linda Polak at Smoke Rise Baptist Church School of the Arts. Kathy enjoys painting architectural subjects, landscapes, and still lives. Many subjects are from photographs taken on trips and interpreted in oil and may be purchased by contacting her for pricing and additional information.
Carmen McFerin	Carmen is the newest member to join the WAGs class, although she has painted for many years. After receiving instruction from Carolyn Blanton, her first teacher, in Douglasville, Georgia, Carmen met her neighbor, Wenona Halderman, and learned about the WAGS paint group. Carmen's specialty is with craft acrylic paint, and she enjoys animals and flowers as subjects.
Joan Roper	Having joined the WAGS group fewer than two years ago, Joan's only art instruction has been from Wenona and other members of the WAGs class. Encouragement from the group has led Joan to try her hand at architectural subjects, animals, flowers, and landscapes. Most of her works have been gifts for family and friends and have been oil or acrylic with a realistic bent. Joan has dabbled in watercolors, however, prefers the control that oils offer.
Helen Starkey	Helen's drawing and painting go back more than seventy years to when she was a child. Her skill at sketching is especially evident in the work that she does with clowns as subjects, as well as her landscapes. Helen's grown family encourages her to attend WAGs, and she is a primary contributor to stories of the past that are so entertaining to the rest of the class.
Wenona Halderman	Early in the 1980's, Wenona attended oil painting classes at Mt. San Antonio College, in Pomona, CA. In 1987, she joined adult education classes at the Senior Center in Thousand Oaks and became a volunteer instructor. After moving to Cobb County in 1994, she was introduced to ELM, where she soon began instructing oil and acrylic painting classes. She is an award- winning artist and has had two showings in the past at the Smyrna Public Library. The first was in 1996 with two of her students, and the other in 2003 that was a "One Woman Show". Her works include acrylic and oil canvases with subjects ranging from flowers to landscapes to animals to pieces requested by family and friends. Wenona is loved by her students and prized for the gentle correction and constructive suggestions she gives. She allows her students freedom to interpret subjects as they like but is quick to correct or suggest techniques that may make a project easier and more attractive.
