Can
I donate used books to the library? |
Yes. We
welcome donations of used hardcover and paperback books in
good condition. Donated books meeting a specific need will
be added to the library's collection.
Other
books will be sold at one of our book sales. Last year we
raised thousands of dollars from the sale of donated used
books. Thank you for your donation!

Why
do you solicit donations of old magazines to the library? |
Used
magazines are sold for 10 cents each in the Friends of Smyrna
Library Bookstore near the circulation desk. Because of the
nominal price, this fundraising program is both popular and
a great way for Smyrnans to recyle their magazines. |
What
else can I donate that will benefit the library? |
FOSL welcomes
the non-cash donation of products and services needed to support
library programs and defray costs. Please see our current
list of desired items if you wish to make a non-cash donation.

donations are placed in an endowment from which funds are
spent to support the library.
